ALGORITHMIC ACCESSORIES is a workshop that combines algorithmic methods for 3D modeling with the  digital fabrication of jewelries. The purpose is to produce various shapes through the use of parametric design  and apply them on accessories in a way that allows their materialization. The workshop will go through the  processes of constructing a shape algorithm, customization, 3D printing and fabrication .

 

DETAILS 

Participants will be introduced to parametric modeling tools in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper, which will allow  them to create and visualize unique custom designs and learn how to materialize them in a specially equipped  Fablab. For this purpose, FDM/STL 3D printer will be available on site for all experimental needs. Further  detailing and metal fabrication of the accessories will be also available. Participants will have the opportunity  to get their designs manufactured and learn about all the aspects of the fabrication process.

REQUIRED SOFTWARE 

Participants should provide their own laptops with the following software installed. If you do not have the  software, trial versions and discount student licences are available on the companies’ websites.

– Rhinoceros 

– Grasshopper
