The Fundación Arquitectura y Sociedad is a non-profit, private cultural entity with a national and international reach. Based in Madrid and Pamplona, it was set up in 2008 with the aim of promoting architecture as a field inextricably bound to life in society at large.
An annual activity of the organization is Campus Ultzama, held in the Navarrese municipality of Ultzama. In a nature-rich environment, architects and architecture students from different countries gather with professionals tied to the construction sector to discuss the city
The Campus is organized around two main events: the School and the Encounters.
HUMANIZING THE CITY
The summer school consists of two simultaneous Workshops. In them the students will collaborate with the professors developing a project according to the program proposed each course.
The objective is for the participants to work in an environment similar to that of an architecture studio, in order to realistically approach the work world they will face in the future.
It is about reproducing the intensity and group experiences that are produced in a study, in order to achieve effective teamwork through a tour of the different degrees of development of a project.
The course is aimed at students in 5th year of Architecture, End-of-Degree Project or graduates with less than 2 years of experience. The theme of this edition will be “Humanize the city. Third Age Space to live and work. ”
