The Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia and a selected group of some of the most highly-regarded artists, experts and creatives from Barcelona have teamed up to create and launch the first edition of BCN Summer Workshops, a revolutionary program designed to push common boundaries and make it possible for anyone interested to learn, share and live for five days among the brightest and innovative minds of the city.

This new and groundbreaking format offers six five-day immersive workshops, each one leaded by a renowned expert addressing one specific discipline out of this year’s selection which includes: Lighting Design by Antoni Arola, Land Art by Jorge Rodriguez Gerada, Typography by LoSiento Studio, Data Visualization by Bestiario, Theatrical Performance by La Fura dels Baus, and Architecture by Map13.

The program includes five nights of accommodation in Mas Valldaura, a luxurious traditional estate located inside Collserola Natural Park, only 30 minutes away from Barcelona; organic meals and snacks prepared on site; and the opportunity to spend five days surrounded by the leading professionals of the city and like-minded individuals from all over the world.

To celebrate the start of this experience, BCN Summer Workshop will also host world-acclaimed chef, Ferran Adrià, who will give an inaugural speech to participants on the 24 of July.
